The Public Safety Committee works with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) - the officers and leadership of the Third District and PSA 305 - and other community organizations, including: ANC 1B, Cardozo Shaw Neighborhood Association, LeDroit Park Civic Association, MidCity Business Association, Howard University Police, and neighbors to address public safety issues in the PSA 305 community. The Transportation and Parking Committee works with residents, the District government, and the business community to address the concerns and issues of residents regarding the many transportation and parking issues in the CSNA area. Historic Preservation & Development

CSNA led a ten-year effort to create and designate the "Greater U Street Historic District," which was approved in January of 1998. This committee works to preserve and protect the historic treasures of our neighborhood and reviews renovation projects and new construction within our Historic District boundaries.
