You will be asked for your "shipping address" with your payment, this is the mailing address that you would like to have on file with CSNA.

Frequently Asked Questions About CSNA Membership

Who can be a member of CSNA?

While CSNA welcomes support from all, membership in CSNA is available to individuals whose principle residence (as recognized by the D.C. Board of Elections) is located within the CSNA boundaries, and/or is the owner or Chief Executive Officer of a business, church, school or non-profit agency or organization whose principle office is located within the CSNA boundaries.  The owner or CEO of organizations noted above may designate in writing an official voter on behalf of their organization.

What are the boundaries of CSNA?

The boundaries of CSNA in Northwest, Washington, DC are:

  • 16th Street to the West
  • 8th Street to the East
  • "S" Street to the South and
  • Barry Place to Florida Avenue to W Street to the North

Who can vote at CSNA meetings?

CSNA's regular meetings are open to everyone, however voting is limited to members only. Each member is entitled to one vote on each matter submitted to a vote by the members. Voting at meetings shall be by voice vote.  However, in order to vote, you need to be a member for 30 days preceding the meeting at which the vote is taken. When a member speaks on an issue in which he has a financial or business interest, the member shall so declare.  Voting by proxy is not permitted.

What are the terms of my CSNA membership active?

  • CSNA annual memberships are for the calendar year in which dues are paid (January to December) - not a year from the date you join CSNA.
  • CSNA memberships are assigned to indviduals, not to households; no individual can hold more than one CSNA membership.
  • CSNA memberships are not transferable.
  • All CSNA memberships have the same rights, privileges, restrictions, and conditions.
