- Great job on the Developer's Showcase Jon! The funds raised from this event will be split with the MidCity Business Association and the remainder will go towards next year's event.
Community Reports & Announcements ANC 1B Update – Phil Spalding www.anc1b.org U-Turn, La Casona, 11 Market - The ANC asked businesses and residents to come out along with police to discuss loiteriing issues outside of 11 Market and liquor license renewals and changes for 11 Market and U-Turn (now sold to new ownership). All businesses attended except for La Casona.
- Sgt. Washington mentioned that he will work together with the owner of 11 Market to eliminate the loitering and Phil will be working on better lighting for the area.
- U-Turn is now under new ownership with the goal of becoming a neighborhood tavern, still having music but no more punk or hip-hop shows.
Committee Business and Regular Reports Treasurer’s Report: Chuck Baxter, Treasurer - We currently have $8,953.41, but $2,752.42 are earmarked to pay off expenses for the Developer's Showcase.

- Preliminary ideas for the Holiday Party - Sharon, Peter and Jean will be working on the committee to put this event together. Ideas for a venue were the new Cuban joint on 9th and U or the new place going where U-Turn was. The elections for next year will be held at the party. Tentative date is December 14th.
- Ideas for fall newsletter - To be out by mid-October, pieces due to Peter by end of September. Shooting for 1,000 copies. Topics will include:
- Trader Joe's Update
- Vermont Avenue Median Planting
- History of the neighborhood continued
- HRP Panel and the Green Team
- Friends of Harrison Recreation Center

- Comprehensive Plan - CSNA voted unanimously to support the new Comprehensive Plan and will be sending a letter to the appropriate parties voicing this position.

- Fall Planting - October 21st will be the planting date. Please contact Laura if you will be able to come out and lend a hand!

- First African New Church - has obtained preliminary approval from the historic preservation review board.
- The Mason's Lot project and 2000 block of 13th will be on the ANC agenda for October.

- Responsible Hospitality Parntership - Workshops will be help on the 16th and 17th of October, more info to come...
- Trader Joe's letter of support was voted on and passed. This letter will be going out to the company in the near future.
